Do you hear His voice ?

You so often hear people asking, “How do you hear God’s voice?” Here, I can only testify from experience.
When the Lord speaks, you can feel it in your stomach (Psalm 51:5) – the King James Version puts it very good “Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” The feeling is somewhat resembling a strong, calm stream of knowing what is the right thing to do accompanied by peace, compared to an aimless fluttering of confusion in your being. Obedience is then key. Show the Lord that He can trust you with assignments. Most of the time He will prepare you by first letting you slay the bear and the lion before He gives you Goliath (1 Sam 17:36-38).
Make sure that sin has not brought division between you and God ( ??? ) and make sure that you are praying for the right stuff (James 4:3). If you are in rightstanding with God, He will hear your prayers…and ANSWER you (John 5:16, 15:7). Also, be prepared that the Lord is sometimes going to keep quiet (Isaiah 57:11)and leave you to figure out the situation with the knowledge that He has already given you – when you already know what is the right thing to do and you don’t do it, then it is sin (James 4:17).

It is so easy to see myself through the eyes of other people and then think of myself the way they think of me…do you agree? For such a long time in my life that was exactly how I thought of myself and it kept me away from my true identity which is in Christ.

These days I practice to agree with God’s Word on who He says I am, and that became my new Identity. I am the head not the tail, I have been forgiven all my transgressions and declared righteous in Christ, I was made fearfully and wonderfully in the image of my King Jesus Christ…. Hallelujah…can you say the same?

What is faith ?

What is faith? Is it something you can touch or see? feel or hear ? Nope to me faith is better described as a state of being. It is to do that thing you believe with your whole heart to be true and just.

Faith is obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ even if His instruction to you does not make sense because you know that He will never make you do something that is harmful to yourself or others.

It is because of faith in Jesus that Peter got out of the boat when Jesus called him. Peter saw Jesus on the waves and knew that there is no need to fear when Jesus is near and therefore he got out of the boat and walked on the water…that is faith my friends !!

Now that you know what is faith…do you have it ?

Perception is stronger than TRUTH

“Is the glass half full or half empty?” is a question that have been rattling me for some time. I mean, if 2 people get married with different perceptions of the glass, then who will win the fight? Jesus give the answer in John 8:31-32 where he explains that the argument should never be about the glass but rather about the amount of water in it. By doing that the married couple could agree that there are 250ml of water in the glass and that is the only truth which will set both of them free from having a huge fight about who is right and who is wrong.

Let us leave the perceptions behind and make sure that Jesus Christ is the only living water that can give life to our thirsty land…and that He is the only truth we should believe in.

Joh 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
